When we decided to renovate our kitchen in July, 2011, our first and last stop was at Showcase Kitchens in Canton. As a decorator, I had several ideas of how I wanted our kitchen to look, but I still wanted a professional and well-established kitchen design business to work with me. That`s where Colleen Eckdish`s expertise and confidence grabbed hands with my ideas and our exciting, new kitchen began to come together. Right from the get-go, Colleen expressed her enthusiasm in our kitchen renovation. She explained the quality of the cabinetry Showcase Kitchens offered, showed me the various cabinet designs and re-assured me that the tile backsplash, the granite counter top, cabinet and tile floor I had selected were complementary. And because renovating my own kitchen challenged me right up to the finish, Erika came to our home to take a look at the paint colors I had selected for the walls—and again put the OK on the final touch. Showcase Kitchens was punctual with appointments, and the cabinets arrived at our home the day they were promised. And to top it off, we especially appreciated Doug and Vinny visiting our home to see the finished product. It’s over a year later, and we still delight in walking into our beautiful new kitchen each morning. And we thank Doug, Colleen, Erika and Vinny for their proficiency and integrity, as well as their friendly and personal interest in the outcome of our renovation. And yes, as a decorator, you know I will be recommending Showcase Kitchens!
This downstairs kitchen addition was designed to stand up to four young boys, constantly on the move. Showcase Kitchens helped the homeowners build a better organizational system for the kitchen and mud room areas. Showcase Kitchens used Dura Supreme White cabinetry to create individual cubbies for each child and adult, an extra hanging area with bench, and a desk storage area in the mudroom. In the kitchen, they designed an oversized island to seat the boys and their friends, an area to make and create snacks, and a message center. Showcase Kitchens did not compromise on the aesthetics of the space when creating all of the organization. The White and Grey cabinetry, Honed Carrara counters, and Polished Chrome hardware, gave the kitchen a high end cottage appeal. The glass light fixtures over the island and window allowed the room to become light and airy. Other details of this space included a large, single bowl farm sink, Cherry wood counters, and a detail tile back splash under the wood hood. The appliances included a built in GE Monogram refrigerator with custom paneling and a side swing door oven.
